Teaching & Research Interests:  Histories of people of African descent in the Americas and across the African diaspora; histories of women & gender in the Americas and the African diaspora; histories of slavery and race; diaspora and race theory; digital humanities (media, archive, and pedagogy); New Orleans history & culture; free people of color in the Atlantic world
